Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy
- Last updated: July 2025
WeCopy Fintech INC ("WCT CA") is committed to maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer identity verification to prevent fraud, financial crime, and misuse of our services. This KYC Policy outlines our procedures for verifying the identity of our users, in line with global anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) standards.
KYC compliance is a core component of our onboarding process, carried out through an automated verification solution.
WCT CA uses Sumsub, a third-party identity verification platform, to perform KYC on all users. The verification process is automated, secure, and designed to ensure global compliance.
All customers must complete KYC before accessing our platform. This process includes:
Required Documents:
• Proof of Identification: Government-issued ID or Passport (must be valid).
• Proof of Address – such as:
o Utility bill (electricity, water, phone).
o Bank statement.
o Driver’s license showing residential address.
• Selfie Photo – a live selfie to match the ID.
The KYC process ensures:
• Document authenticity.
• Liveness detection.
• Match between ID and face.
• Location verification (if applicable).
All documents and personal data collected during the KYC process are encrypted, securely stored, and processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR*.
WCT CA does not manually handle or store the submitted documents directly. Sumsub acts as a secure processor and transmits verification results to our system.
• Users who fail to pass KYC will not be permitted to access platform services.
• Repeat attempts may be allowed on a case-by-case basis.
• WCT CA reserves the right to reject or suspend user access at its sole discretion based on KYC results or risk indicators.
This policy is reviewed annually or upon regulatory updates. KYC controls are integrated with our broader AML and compliance programs.
